Faithfulness: Steady allegiance, loyalty, constancy; true to one’s word; reliability

Psalm 31:23
O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

Psalm 36:5
Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Psalm 40:10
I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

Psalm 89:1
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 101:6
Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

You can find a lot about faithfulness in the Psalms! The Lord is faithful. We should be faithful. I’m grateful for this grandfather of Wayne’s who helped teach him to be faithful through example.

One of the best ways to do that is to attend church together. Of course, worshiping as a family at home also helps, and you can start when your children are very young. I’m grateful to have had that example for generations.

as a young man, and as the father with his wife and four children.
As a newly married couple, Wayne and I enjoyed living in the same city as his grandparents. Our first extended family event, Thanksgiving dinner, was at their home. They were wonderful mentors to us as we became parents ourselves. Wasn’t it nice that we were blessed with a firstborn son so that we could help carry on the WOW tradition?
